  1. My prom dress was handmade by my grandmother, great aunt and myself as finding a prom dress that fit was basically impossible. My grandmother used to make all of my dresses when I was younger.

    1. That’s such a beautiful memory—how special to have a prom dress made with so much love and care by your grandmother, great aunt, and yourself. I can imagine how meaningful that must have been, especially since finding a dress that fit was so challenging. Handmade dresses hold so much more sentiment and tell such a wonderful story. What an incredible keepsake from such a big milestone! -Jennifer, SpinalMuscularAtrophy.net Team Member

  2. I always purchase clothes that are stretchy and put zipper pulls on all my shorts and jeans. Adaptive clothing in my opinion uses too much velcro. I wish adaptive manufacturers would make jeans stretchy, had long zippers, built in big zipper pulls,

    1. I completely agree with you—stretchy clothes and long zippers with pulls make such a difference for comfort and independence. I’ve found that a lot of adaptive clothing relies on velcro, too, and while it works for some, it’s not always the most practical or stylish option. It would be amazing if manufacturers focused more on stretchy, functional jeans with built-in features like big zipper pulls. It’s all about making life easier without sacrificing personal style! -Jennifer, SpinalMuscularAtrophy.net Team Member

    1. I had a skirt o loved because it had a zipper all down the front of it so it was really easy to get on and off sadly I grew out of it. I also have Billy's shoes and I can get those on myself thankfully.
