Tips for Cold/Flu Season

Getting sick is no fun! What're some tips and tricks you have to survive cold and flu season?

  1. I'm still staying 6ft away from everyone. Definitely no hugging new people, the only person allowed to touch me is my hubby. He wears gloves everywhere and removes them when assisting me. Added to that, lots of vitamins and eat healthy.

    1. sounds like you and your husband have lots of good practices to help prevent getting sick this time of year! Hope you both are able to stay health all season! Wishing you both well. -Jessica, Team Member

  2. NOTE: I am not a doctor or a care giver. You should take professionals advice than a random person like me.

    1. I try to weak a mask if someone else has the flu at home. Better still make the person at home with flu to weak a mask and I mask up myself for three to four days.

    2. Another thing I use to do is wash my nose, cheeks and throat with Lifeboy handwash every three to four hours, surprising that is really effective even if I have caught the flu.

    1. Some great ways to keep yourself protected! I’ve been masking in public spaces myself since the beginning of COVID and even though restrictions have stopped I’ve continued to do so, safe for when I know I can safely keep my distance from others. Hand sanitizer is also something my caregiver and I both use after being around a lot of people or in the store touching things. I also made the decision to not go around family during the holidays if I know they aren’t feeling well either. Thankfully we both have stayed relatively healthy by following these steps! -Jennifer Contributor
