To define independence would be to move around independently without assistance from anyone. I am really creative may be "Invent gravity neutralizer"? just kidding.

Complete and total independence for me would be being able to be left alone for more than a few hours and fully be able to cook or prepare myself a meal and drink. I wouldn’t have to rely on someone for my basic necessities. But that’s only a version of my independence with SMA in mind. -Jennifer SpinalMuscularAtrophy.net Team Member
