i am trying to get a jaco arm installed into my power chair. i saw one last year online and got the company to come out for demo. i decided i want one, so we went to insurance company but they denied because not "medically necessary". my doctor had a peer to peer to appeal denial. what i don't understand is i have good insurance, i work full time, and this can give me some independence back as i am having upper extremity problems like feeding myself. i know others who have worse sma type 2 (i am a type 3) but have the arm, and the jaco company is good getting back to me and trying to appeal denial. any thoughts are helpful
